The City of Jackson, Alabama Water Works & Sewer Board has issued a Boil Water Notice for drinking and cooking water. The advisory is for those whose water is provided by Jackson Water and Sewer or provided by a company that uses Jackson Water and Sewer. They advise water should be boiled for 10 minutes and then let stand for 30 minutes prior to use. And if you are unable to boil the water, add 8 drops of bleach per gallon prior to use. When the all clear is given we will update.

The water main has been repaired, water pressure may be slow for awhile until the tanks are full. Water boil is still in effect.

THE CITY OF JACKSON IS UNDER A BOIL WATER MANDATE DUE TO WATER MAIN BREAKS. THEY ARE WORKING TO REPAIR ALL LINES. WILL POST WHEN THE BOIL WATER IS LIFTED. THIS IS ALL DUE TO THE RAIN AND WIND STORM ON SATURDAY NIGHT. BE PATIENT THE WATER DEPT AND CITY IS WORKING HARD TO GET EVERYONE BACK ON LINE.
